About the Texas Media+Entertainment Summit™
The Texas Media+Entertainment Summit™ is a twice annual bold, future-facing multi-day gathering of top voices, visionaries, and industry leaders who convene at The Gunter Hotel in downtown San Antonio in support of Women in Film & Television Texas (WIFT Texas). TM+E Summit offers a powerful yet accessible platform for professionals across film, television, music, digital, and live entertainment, representing all verticals including sports, culinary, performing arts, and more. This summit is where seasoned and emerging media gather to connect, collaborate, and chart new territory — together. Anchored by rich programming including keynote interviews, dynamic panels, and curated networking experiences, the summit takes place under the theme “Storytelling Big as the Texas Sky” designed for meaningful dialogue, inspiration, and making relationships.
Hosted in downtown San Antonio — the destination hub of the media and entertainment industry in Texas — the Summit draws speakers and executives from across the state and beyond. Designed as a forward-looking engine for Texas’ creative economy, the Summit explores the ideas, innovations, and collaborations shaping the future of storytelling, production, and cultural impact.
The Summit is held biannually in San Antonio and also serves as the professional anchor to The Celestial Awards™ weekend annually in January.
The Texas Media+Entertainment Summit™ executive team, producers, and curators are accomplished media professionals who have helmed national conferences, major productions, and industry-leading initiatives. The Texas M+E Summit supports WIFT Texas, the member organization that has created these premium platforms for all Women in Film & Television International recognized chapters to participate in while supporting, elevating, and connecting women working across the media and entertainment landscape. ABOUT WIFT TEXAS
Women in Film & Television Texas was founded in 2023 in San Antonio and has grown to include and represent its members throughout Texas, the USA, and internationally. WIFT Texas is a Texas nonprofit, nonpartisan egalitarian membership-based service organization. MEMBERSHIP INCLUDES options for WOMEN who are working in OR PURSUING A CAREER IN all sectors of the media & entertainment industry* at all stages of their careers. Alignment also includes the Advocate and Alliance memberships; and, the Producers Society.
We are proudly an official chapter of Women in Film & Television International “WIFTI”a global network of more than 13,000 members and 50+ chapters located on six continents founded in Hollywood in 1973. For more than 50 years, chapters have been dedicated to advancing professional development and achievement for women working in all areas of Media & Entertainment.
We are currently accepting members in WIFT TEXAS who comprise a broad range of professions spanning the entire Media & Entertainment industry. From producers and directors to accountants and lawyers, above the line and below, in front of the camera or behind it, WIFT TEXAS is dedicated to helping women reach their highest level of achievement in television, film, moving-image media, live productions, broadcasting, and more including events, performing arts, media and entertainment. WIFT TEXAS is dedicated to building a network of members representing the full breadth of backgrounds and experiences that reflects the diverse realities of women’s lives.
*Experience working in Media & Entertainment including but not limited to television, film, video, other screen-based media; broadcast and print journalism; live performance; fine and performing arts; or, a closely related industry role (ie: entertainment law, publicity, marketing, public relations, event producer); or, studio or production company executive; talent management and representation; served on a board of directors or government or NGO entity related to media and/or entertainment.
